First Ultrasonic Leak Tester for Aluminium Wheels for China

After successful acceptance the first USLT machine for Aluminium wheels for China was loaded on deck in the end of February 2007.

After comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different leak test methods for aluminium wheels (mainly Helium and Ultrasound Gas Bubble Detection) Liufeng Machinery Industry Co., Ltd. in Kunshan, China (a company of Lioho Machine Works, Ltd.), decided in favour of the MACEAS ultrasonic leak tester based on ultrasonic gas bubble detection.

The specification for leak testing of aluminium wheels given by the car manufacturers is to detect leaks causing a pressure drop of 0.2bar within half a year. The MACEAS machine is a fully automatic system which rejects all leaking wheels according to this specification.

Engineers of Liufeng and a staff member of our commercial agency, H&Z Technology Ltd., Shanghai, at acceptance of the machine in Harkebruegge nearby Bremen, Germany.

As a result of the good cooperation between the customer, our commercial agency in China and MACEAS the delivery was on schedule. Installation and start up will be done on-site in April. We wish our staff a pleasant stay at Kunshan, China.
